Raymond passed away 15 June 2001 at his home with his loving family at his side. He was born 17 Nov 1921 in Ogden, a son of William Joshua and Cora Leone Banner Parkinson.
He lived in Ogden most of his life. He married 15 Mar 1941. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He served in World War II in the 75-2nd Railway Operations Battalion in Europe. He retired from Utah Power & Light after 36 years. He was a 50-year member of the Electrical Workers Union.
He was survived by his wife, three daughters, one son, 16 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Eldon Ray and a grandson, Ryan Ray Cottam.
Interment with military honors, Leavitt’s Aultorest Memorial Park 19 Jun 2001. Raymond’s wife is a granddaughter of James Alma Slater & Mary Elizabeth Allred. Mary Elizabeth was the daughter of John Allen Allred & Mary Jane Knight. John was the son of Isaac Allred & Julia Ann Taylor.
