Mabel passed away 24 May 2001 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
She was born in Los Angeles, California 9 Mar 1912 to Amy Taylor and Marshall A. McEntire. She was a granddaughter of Joseph Allen Taylor and Mary Lake. Joseph Allen was the son of Joseph Taylor & Mary Moore.
In her early years, Mabel lived in Los Angeles; Malad, Idaho; Brigham City, Utah; and Salt Lake City. She graduated from the LDS Hospital School of Nursing in 1933 and completed post graduate work at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago in March 1936. She served as a supervisor at LDS hospital in Salt Lake, where she met her future husband, Virgil, when he was a patient. Mabel and Virgil were married 29 Jun 1936 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They lived in Fillmore, Delta, Salt Lake City, and in 1947 they moved to Clearfield, Utah. Virgil died 10 Jul 1980. Mabel was a partner in the McEntire and Hilton Lumber Company in Clearfield with her husband Virgil and her father and mother. Mabel enjoyed serving in the Stake & Ward Relief Society, Primary and MIA. Virgil served as a bishop, member of a stake presidency, and as a stake patriarch.
Surviving her were 2 daughters, 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
