Lewis was born May 15,1919 in West Weber UT to Lancelot and Betsy Robena Hammon Greenwell. He married Una Cottle on 3 June l942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, she died on 16 May 1982. He married Athlene McFarland on 31 Aug 1983 in West Weber. Athlene is a granddaughter of Albert Green & Minerva Rosina Knight, daughter of John Knight III & Sarah Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of John Taylor & Eleanor Burkett.
Lewis was a member of the LDS West Weber 1st Ward. He served a mission in Texas/Louisiana, was active as an Ogden temple worker, served in the Bishopric and High Council and numerous other callings.
He was a County Road Foreman for Weber County Road Department.
He passed away 13 Dec 2000 at Washington Terrace UT. He had two sons, two daughters, two step-sons, 25 grandchildren, 14 step-grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and 15 step-great-grandchildren. Interment, West Weber Cemetery, 18 Dec 2000.
