Ireta was born 20 Feb 1919 in Enterprise, Utah to Walter Leslie and Sara Eliza Smith Croft. She married Carl Dale Child on 22 April 1940 in Kaysville, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple 7 July 1966. He passed away on 18 Feb 1994. She was an active member of the LDS Church and served as a Primary teacher for many years. Ireta passed away 28 Jun 2000. Ireta was survived by three sons, three daughters, 18 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Burial was 3 Jul 2000 in the Syracuse City Cemetery.
