George was born 16 Jan 1911 in Plain City, Utah, a son of Parley P. and Estella D. Hodson Taylor. (He was a grandson of John Ammon Taylor & Hannah Mary Poulsen. John Ammon was the son of John Taylor & Eleanor Burkett.)George lived in the Ogden area for 46 years where he was employed by the Ogden Arsenal, Amalgamated Sugar, Browning Chevrolet and Ogden Ford Sales, retiring in 1974.He received many awards for outstanding salesmanship.
George was a former member of the Weber County Mounted Posse. He played baseball for the Plain City Reds, receiving an offer to go professional.He married Phyllis “Bill” Bitton 20 Aug 1932 in Wilson Lane. Their vows were later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. They had three daughters and one son. She preceded him in death 4 July 1991. George was a Sunday School Superintendent and high priest for the LDS Church.
George died 11 Sep 2000 at his home in Ogden, Utah of causes incident to age. He was survived by 3 daughters, 1 son, 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. Burial was 16 Sep 2000 in Myers Evergreen Memorial Park, Ogden.
