Arnold was born 22 Feb 1914 in Slaterville, Utah to Enos Arnold Slater and Regina Richards Slater. He was a graduate of Weber High School. He married (living) 2 Sep 1938 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a High Priest and former Bishop in the Slaterville LDS Ward and Patriarch of the Mound Fort Stake, Ogden Temple Sealer, served an LDS mission to the German Austria Mission from 1935 to 1937 and had been a Stake missionary. He was a dairy farmer and had received numerous awards for his herd. He received the Weber County Farm Bureau Distinguished Service Award and had been Vice President of the Weber County Farm Bureau. He had served on the Board of Directors for the Bona Vista Water District and the South Slaterville Irrigation Company. He was a school bus driver for the Weber School District.
At his death he was survived by his wife of 61 years, four children, 21 grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 30 step-great-grandchildren. Arnold died 22 May 2000 at his home, of Alzheimer’s and age. Burial was 25 May in Ogden City Cemetery.
Arnold was a great-grandson of John Allen Allred & Mary Jane Knight.
